White as a snow owl<\/address>\n

\u00a0It was a simple, intimate place<\/address>\n

a dial to measure how far from the ground<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 as we silently hitched ourselves to the wind<\/address>\n
lifting up and up along the edges of wraith clouds<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 slipping up sides of mountains on invisible coattails of air<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
a dial to measure how fast we sliced through sky<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 diving down, down<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 to join green earth<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 nearly<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
then, at the last minute<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 hand pulling lightly back<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 on the joystick between my legs<\/address>\n
shooting up to eternal blue, sun-filled\u00a0sky<\/address>\n

Twisting, turning, looping, banking<\/address>\n
sling-shotting through air<\/address>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 as effortless and free as any bird ever dreamed<\/address>\n
\u00a0J.L. Seagull had nothing on us<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
Free<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 silent but for rushing air<\/address>\n
bursting with the ecstasy of flying<\/address>\n
\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 just simply flying,<\/address>\n
for no other reason<\/address>\n
than the sheer joy of it<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
We catapulted through sky as arrow from bow<\/address>\n
\u00a0rocked in arms of wind as babe in cradle<\/address>\n
\u00a0streaked through clouds as if a racing bird<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
laughing<\/address>\n
\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 laughing in the pure joy<\/address>\n
of being\u00a0alive<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
\u201cI’m more at home in the sky<\/address>\n
than I ever was on the ground,\u201d I breathed<\/address>\n
\u00a0<\/address>\n
\u201cThen, let\u2019s go home,\u201d you said<\/address>\n
